IPMF 2026 GNSM · Planetarium

Dome Cinema Talk

Saturday 12 September 2026, 19:30 – 21:00 · Planetarium

To mark the return of the International Planetarium Movie Festival — IPMF 2026 and its twelve days where cinema becomes cosmos, we are opening the dome for an evening of conversation about film and science.

📣 This talk is held in Korean. No interpretation is provided. Booking is also through a Korean-language page — see Booking below.

🌃 Dome Cinema Talk 🎤

Under the starlight, a conversation among people of the cosmos

“Why do we imagine extraterrestrial life?”

From exoplanets to extraterrestrial life, and on to the film 📽 Project Hail Mary — an evening in which science and cinema open up the unknown together.

Our panel: film critic Yoon Sung-eun, science communicator Jigu, and Hae Do-yeon, astronomer and science-fiction writer. A panel discussion, followed by questions from the audience.

There will also be a short taste of what a dome can do: the ceiling disappears, and the audience is carried into the rings of Saturn. 🔮
